PPF vs. Winter: Beating Road Grime, Hail, and Cold the Smart Way

Most drivers know winter does not have to be long to be hard on a vehicle. A few icy mornings, a couple of light snowfalls, and weeks of salt brine are enough to leave even a newer car looking tired. Brine, sand, and small stones grind into the clear coat, and repeated freezing and thawing make every chip a little wider.

Paint protection film, usually called PPF or Clear Bra, offers a practical answer. It is a clear polyurethane film that is applied over factory paint and designed to take damage in place of the original finish.
